What Is A Colonic?
What is a colonic? - It is a safe, effective method for cleansing the colon of old toxic and waste material by repeated, gentle flushing with gallons of water. A colonic is one of the most powerful and rapid ways of cleansing and detoxifying your entire system. The answer to what is a colonic is otherwise known as Colon Hydrotherapy, it is a safe, comfortable, and effective way of cleansing the large bowel that detoxifies the body, promotes healthy elimination, and relieves constipation, bloating and intestinal discomfort.
Colonics and enemas are similar, but there are some key differences between a colonic and an enema. Colonics are the introduction of filtered water into your colon (large intestine) via a speculum
and a tube to wash out old and toxic waste. Colonics are more natural in that they stimulate peristalsis of the colon muscles and help to establish regularity. I am often asked what is a colonic? Colonics effectively eliminate large quantities of toxic waste, affecting the condition of the entire body. Colonic irrigation, also known as colon hydrotherapy, is a safe and painless procedure that has been used for thousands of years. Colonic hydrotherapy has been found to be the most effective process available to accomplish this work quickly and easily. Colonics can help alleviate a multitude of ailments, helping to restore health and vitality. Body CleansingIf you suffer from any symptoms of toxic build-up, then colon cleansing may benefit you. Varying the water temperature from warm to cool serves to increase the cleansing action and strengthens the muscular walls, which high salts and acids have weakened An effective cleansing program involves a series of colonics, combined with a healthy diet, exercise and relaxation techniques, to detoxify the body and rebuild and rejuvenate the bowel. Colon hydrotherapy is like a cleansing shower for your insides. So now you know what is a colonic, you will want to do a cleanse along with an effective herbal cleansing kit and eating raw foods or doing a juice fast. In my opinion, no one can do a thorough cleansing program without cleansing the colon through colonics, colemas or enemas. What Is A Colonic Session Like?A typical session lasts 45 minutes to one hour. Refrain from eating much prior to a session. Eat lightly on the day of your colonic session. The hydrotherapy instrument uses disposable components, which are discarded at the end of each session, insuring that every treatment meets the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and comfort. During your initial visit, you will have the opportunity to ask questions, and your therapist will offer feedback and guidance as to how many sessions will be helpful for you. After your initial visit, you can discuss with the therapist’s guidance as to how many and how often you might want to schedule sessions. Afterwards the therapist will sit down with you and provide a general assessment of the session and give you an opportunity to ask any further questions. Many people say the sessions are easier and more relaxing than they thought they would be. Sometimes if there is a full release during your session, you may not have a bowel movement the next day, as you have emptied your colon of most solid waste. On the other hand, if you do not fully release during a session there may be residual water in your colon that you may release later in the day. What Is a Colonic Treatment Session Like?During the session, most clothing can be kept on and you will be draped to ensure modesty. In a 45 minute session approximately 15 gallons of water is used to gently flush the colon. The cost is approximately $70 for one session or $240 for four sessions. During the session you will be laying on your back with your legs bent or on your side. After the session you go into the adjacent bathroom to expel any remaining water and waste. The session takes place in a private room with an adjacent bathroom. During the session, we use closed system colonic equipment so there is no smell or uncontained waste materials. Most clients will experience positive results the first time, but there are some that will require a few sessions. The water used does not create a dependency, normally bowel movements become more regular without use of colonics following a series of sessions. You may not go to the bathroom 24 hours after your session. The immediate effect of a colon Hydro-therapy session is a feeling of lightness and a sense of well-being. Colonic TreatmentAfter completing a health history form and consulting with the colon hydrotherapist, the client is asked to change into a gown and lie face up on a treatment table. There are no side or after effects, you can continue with your daily routine after treatment. Conditions such as active infections, active inflammation (such as diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis), a painful fissure or painful haemorrhoids mean treatment cannot be comfortably carried out until they are healed or in remission. Also recent abdominal or bowel surgery would be a reason for not doing a treatment. Abdominal massage is applied throughout the colonic treatment to aid you in releasing and unbinding the recent and older stagnant waste matter from the colon wall.
Even debris built up over a long period is gently, but surely removed in the process of a series of treatments. In this very real sense a colonic is a rejuvenation treatment.Colon Cleanse DietMany clients improve their diet and exercise regime when they start having colonics. It is recommended that your diet consist of a lot of water and juices as well as soup broths and pureed soups for twenty-four hours following your colonic.
