Preparation for Colonic Irrigation
Good preparation for Colonic Irrigation can make the difference between success or amazing success.
Colonic Hydrotherapy isn’t cheap and if you are going to spend the money you may as well get the most “bang for your bucks” by following some (or all) of these suggestions.
One of the biggest problems in a treatment is that someone is so so blocked that it could literally take three to four treatments to just start getting things moving!
By that I mean that gallons of clear filtered water go in – and gallons of clear filtered water come out. Not very rewarding for anyone.
The main area that is difficult to clear is in the final 6 inches of the colon. Often once that area is shifting then the rest of the colon can be cleared steadily.
The earlier your preparation begins the better.

Diet
One of the most obvious improvements you can make straight away in your preparation for your colonic is a change to your diet.
You ideally want to be looking at having a diet high in raw fruit and vegetables, remember to always include dark green leafy vegetables as these tend to be the one thing that most people miss out of their diet, often completely.

If you can’t manage “Raw” then introduce your vegetables in any other way possible.
Try lightly steamed vegetables or homemade vegetable soup.
Try to eat fruit with every meal like thry do in most Mediterranean countries, you’ll find it far easier to do if you try and always have handy plenty of fresh fruit that you love.
Reducing the amount of meat that you eat will help massively as meat is hard to digest.
Vegetarian or even vegan (raw vegan being just the absolute best) is great to aim for if you feel that committed.
You will be amazed by the antiaging, energy and vitality giving, weightloss qualities that you will experience within days.
Introduce sprouting into your diet. Alfalfa sprouts, mung bean sprouts and many others are not only delicious, but cost virtually nothing and are full of living enzymes and fibre.
Water
One great thing you can do for preparation is to stop drinking alcohol as it is really dehydrating for all of your body (including your brain) but also specifically for your bowels.
Wherever possible try to drink the best quality filtered or bottled water available and freshly squeezed organic fruit and vegetable juices.
Even better than juicing is to blend the fruit and veg together with some high quality water, thereby retaining all the fiber which your colon so badly needs.
The fiber also binds to toxins and fats so serves many positive health purposes at the same time.
Exercise
Don’t groan, what I want to say is that the difference I see in colon health in clients who either exercise or start exercising is just phenomenal.
The wonderful thing is that colonics actually has a really positive effect on exercise too, so for example; marathon runners find that their stamina increases, they have less discomfort whilst running and often their race times improve.
I believe that the secret to introducing exercise is to try and find something that you enjoy.
I personally enjoy cycling and rebounding and so do these two forms willingly rather than reluctantly.
Herbal Supplements
If you are suffering from constipation then I recommend that you take an herbal natural laxative for some time before having your treatment.
The ideal situation for a treatment is that you are having one good bowel movement each day.
