Are Colonics Dangerous? That’s Easy – No, Colonics Are NOT Dangerous
Are Colonics Dangerous – is however a valid question that requires to be answered. The dangers of colonic irrigation are substantially fewer than most other procedures you can think of, eating a meal, gardening, walking the dog, going to the dentist, riding a bike, driving a car etc.etc.
Almost without fail, after undergoing the procedure, clients invariably state that all the fears they had were unfounded because they did not know what to expect. Without a doubt, people who talk about colonic irrigation dangers have not experienced the procedure. If you wanted to find the one rare case that maybe once many years ago happened, or a client who was unhappy with the procedure, and then yes, believe me you will be able to find that one story or that one person because “life is like that”. There has never been a subject with so many wild stories about what people have found during their treatment etc. or with quite so many jokes about it. There is also an element of the unknown which can cause people to attack that which they fear or which embarrasses them.
Colonic Therapists
Most Colonic Therapists are trained, registered, qualified, insured, responsible human beings who are massively committed to their work to give their clients an improved life. An enormous percentage of colonic treatments are home colonics, done by people with absolutely no training, probably less than sterile conditions and maybe not the greatest, latest sterile, disposable equipment - i.e. YOU!! Are your colonics dangerous? I would venture to add that they are probably not. I suspect that they are performed generally fairly responsibly with improved health being the aim.
Colonic Clinics
You will find that in colonic clinics, the conditions are generally excellent, sterile and disposable equipment will be used, triple filtered warmed water used, and a trained and experienced practitioner present. Are Colonics Dangerous? - Even Home Colonics which don’t have these perfect conditions are unlikely to be dangerous. If you think about it, you do NOT sterilise the food you eat or your toothbrush before putting it in your mouth. People do not sterilise themselves before having sex. Your toilet paper although clean is not sterile. Your toilet although clean is not sterile. It is not necessary to have a degree to perform your home colonic responsibly. The tube is only inserted approx 1 to 2 inches into your body. The water is not put in under pressure. If there isn’t room for all the water then the excess water will run out onto the treatment couch. You will not blow up and explode like violet in Charlie and the chocolate factory. There is no reason why a colonic irrigation should be any more dangerous than a colonoscopy, probably considerably less so. There are however a few conditions where colonic irrigation is not recommended, cancer of the colon, recent bowel surgery, Crohns disease and actively inflamed conditions. Having said all that, do choose your colonic therapist responsibly. If you feel unhappy then just walk away and learn to do home colonics. If your fears of danger are so high then just don’t have a colonic irrigation. It would be sad not to experience the health benefits of colonic irrigation but hey, no one is forcing you to have a treatment.
